Summary of clip: The emperor penguins are entering mating season. The way that these penguins choose a mate is through different songs. One female and one male choose each other at the end, who in turn have an egg that later becomes the main character Mumble.

Connection of flickclip to the concept:Different species of animals have different mating rituals. For emperor penguins, they sing to each other to find a mate. But even among different species of penguins, there are different rituals, for example later in the movie, a smaller species build nests to attract females.
