Deep Impact (1998)

Concept 1: Generally, evolution takes place over a very large time scale. The movie claims/shows that in just 300 years a human is able to evolve and grow gills. In just 300 years this would not be able to occur. Darwin and Lamarck, as well as many others, show that microscopic evolution of humans takes a vast timeframe. For example, consider 300 years is roughly 15 generations at the most; 15 generations would not be even close to evolving to the point of growing gills.
