The Mummy

Concept 1: After the plane crashes in the desert, it lands in quicksand and gets sucked under. There is no way the plane could be totally engulfed by quicksand. First, quicksand is formed by water aquifers coming up through the sand, and is unlikely to occur in the desert. Second, quicksand has never been found to be any more than 2 or 3 feet deep. Therefore, even if there happened to be quicksand in the desert, it would not have been deep enough to engulf an entire plane.
