Summary of clip: In this clip, US Marshal Gerrard is chasing Richard Kimble through tunnels leading to a dam. Eventually the tunnel leads to a dead end. When it comes to incarceration, or jumping off the dam, Richard takes his chances with the dam and jumps. **Note to teachers: some profanity in clip.
Connection of flickclip to the concept: This clip is closely related to force and motion. Jumping from a platform involves multiple physics equations, including velocit, speed of object as it hits water, time it takes to hit the water etc.
Suggestions to teachers:
1. This clip can be used as practice for various force and motion problems.

2. Suggested questions for students:

a. Use these statistics to answer the following questions: height of dam: 189 ft, mass of Richard Kimble: 82 kg, accleration due to gravity 32.2 ft/s^2

i. Using or physics knowledge of forces and motion, what different variables can we calculate about Kimble's situation (i.e. velocity, acceleration, force)

ii. How long will it take Kimble to hit the water?

iii. What speed will he be traveling when he hits the water?

iv. What is the vorce at which he will be hitting the water?

v. If he jumped straight out at a velocity of 5 ft/s, how far will he land from the base of the dam?
