Students can discuss what effects the melting ice sheets will have on the overall environment. Students can discuss what is causing global warming and what can be/is being done to slow these effects.

4. Follow the lesson plan from Science Netlinks for The Rise and Fall of Mammoths: (http://www.sciencenetlinks.com/
lessons.cfm?BenchmarkID=5&DocID=287)
where students will use the internet to research the evolution and extinction of Mammoths.
