Summary of clip: This clip shows the Ventana Nuclear Plant throught he eyes of a reporter doing a story on energy when a minor incident turns into a full blown crisis at the plant.

Suggestions to teachers:
1. Suggested questions for students when viewing the clip:

a. What are some pros and cons to nuclear energy?

b. What about other energy soources?

c. How likely is it that a nuclear disaster could occur?

2. This is a good clip to show when talking about negatives of power sources.

3. Have the students relate other real life nuclear disasters such as Chernobyl and Three-Mile Island (also note that Three-Mile Island occurred only a few weeks after the movie was released).

Have students list pro's and con's of all energy sources and limitations as well through a research project.
